This policy covers the Marott website (marott.co.uk) and the Marott app for cast & crew (iOS, Android and web). We keep it short because we collect little.

Who we are

Marott Productions Limited, an independent film production company based in London, United Kingdom. Contact: info@marott.co.uk.

What we collect and why

Account details — your email address and name. App accounts are created by our production team for people working on our projects; we use these details to show you your call sheets, contracts, messages and payment status.
Production information — the projects you are attached to, call times, roles and related workflow records (for example the status of an invoice you submitted).
Photos you choose to share — if you upload set photos in the app, they are reviewed by our team and may be published in the behind-the-scenes gallery on our website. Uploading is always your choice; we record which account uploaded a photo.
Anonymous feedback — post-shoot feedback is stored without your name, email or any identifier, by design.
Website analytics — our website uses a self-hosted, cookie-free counter (page views, approximate device type, country inferred from timezone). Visitor identifiers are random, kept only for your browser session, and are not linked to your identity.

What we don't do

No advertising, no ad tracking, no sale of personal data — ever.
No third-party analytics or social-media trackers in the app.
No collection of your contacts, precise location, or browsing history.

Where your data lives

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication and Cloud Storage), acting as our processor. Newsletter delivery (if you subscribe on the website) uses Google Sheets and Resend. These providers may process data outside the UK under standard contractual safeguards.

Notifications

The app can remind you of upcoming call times. These reminders are scheduled on your device; you can turn them off in the app's Profile tab or in system settings.

How long we keep things

Production records are kept for the life of the project and for as long as legal and accounting obligations require (typically 6 years for financial records in the UK). You can ask us to delete your app account and personal data at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict our processing. Email info@marott.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will note it here and, for app users, in the app.
